  Mike is an extremely knowledgeable individual, who takes the time to help out people who really want to know about fish. I've read the other reviews, however I believe them to be unfair. Like anyone, he deals out respect when it's given to him.

  just moved to the city. My daughter (seven year old) and i had just put our dog down, so we decided to get fish.

  Very rude staff. They act like they are doing you a huge favour just letting you shop there and begrudgingly answer questions - it's your fault, really! How dare you expect the pet shop staff to be knowledgeable or at least pleasant?! Maybe they had a rich uncle who left them the store and stipulated they must keep it running for a certain number of years before they can get their hands on his fortune so they do it but they absolutely hate it! Just counting the days until they can claim their fortune..

  The owner, Mike, dropped what he was doing and walked us through everything we would need making jokes the whole time. He even walked my daughter around by the hand showing her the fish, and even showed her that fish would follow her finger across a tank! It was the first time she'd smiled all day!

  I would wholly recommend this business over any other to every family in the area. Just pop in and make time to chat. Treat him like a normal professional, and enjoy a great time!

  Healthy looking fish, owner is beyond paranoid, doesn't allow pictures in store, and refuses to give prices or any info on what he currently has in stock over the phone. Brags about customers traveling hours to visit the shop. According to this store advice and info must be paid for. Makes the customer feel as if they owe him something for walking into his store. However, this is the only fish store in Trenton and his fish seem to be quite healthy, so unless you want to take your chances on pet smart, humour him. You will not have many choices in types of fish and aquatic creatures but you won't be shelling out more money for meds.
